WWE Bans Wrestlers From Twitch

Twitch has become an increasingly popular platform over the last couple of years, with everyone from your average Joe to mainstream celebrities streaming video games, music, art or Just Chatting live streams. Many WWE Superstars have also become streamers, moreso during this pandemic due to having more downtime. Notable WWE Twitch Streamers include Xavier Woods, AJ Styles and Paige.

This may soon be coming to an end though, as WWE have sent an e-mail to its talent stating the following:

Some of you are engaged with outside third parties using your name and likeness in ways that are detrimental to our company. It is imperative that these activities be terminated within the next 30 days (by Friday October 2). Continued violations will result in fines, suspension, or termination at WWE’s discretion. -WWE

The "outside third parties" also includes services like YouTube and Cameo. Of note, the IIconics both recently started separate YouTube channels (under their real names) and Big E is a very popular request on Cameo.

It is currently unclear whether this means WWE talent are completely unable to participate in these activities or if they simply cannot use their WWE names in doing so. Paige has already reacted to this edict by changing her Twitch handle from "officialpaigewwe" to "sarayaofficial". Hopefully, some clarity is given to this issue soon.

Should WWE talent be unable to stream going forward, the void can be filled by following me on Twitch-
