Rock N Roll Wrestling Rock N Rumble 2026 Review (18/07/2026)

Back with a look at Rock N Roll Wrestling’s latest outing, the Rock N Rumble! Taking place in Goulburn, which has recently become a more frequent stop for RNR, this was a loaded card with plenty to love. 

This will be different to previous Rumble reviews- unfortunately there was no one to film the show! So the records of it only remain through this review, and any fan footage captured on the night. I got a bit that was shared on The Arena Media Instagram story- originally I planned not to, was just going to enjoy the show and watch it back later on YouTube as I’ve been doing. I didn’t discover that there was no one filming until the end of the show- I assumed we at least had a hard cam back there, but not to be. Only reason I got any footage was a request from one of the wrestlers in the Rumble to get his spots. 

We have a strong card though, with three title matches to go along with the titular Rumble match. So four matches, limited footage to work with, it’s a shorter review than usual. Ah well. Should be quality over quantity. 

Let’s do this!

Match 1: RNR Elite Championship- Dan Archer vs. Lachy The Tradie (c) 

Archer, as usual, was a heat magnet. Visiting from SLAM Pro Wrestling League, he drew the ire of the Goulburn crowd easily. He had the size and power advantage in this one, planting Lachy with vicious suplexes and powerbombs, but met an all too familiar undoing when he attempted to go to the top rope, and was crotched for his troubles. 

Archer jawed with the fans some more at ringside as he managed to once again gain the advantage over Lachy and once again looked to fly! This time, he found nothing but mat, giving the Tradie the opening to slice him in half with the Spear. The pin is tightly stacked, and still! 

Winner: Lachy the Tradie  

Thoughts: This was an awesome opener. Probably my non-Rumble highlight of the night. Lachy is so likeable, and having him as the secondary champion at the moment- which is typically the “workhorse title” in a lot of promotions- makes a lot of sense. Meanwhile, Archer is an asset to any show that he’s on. Zero issues being the most hated man in the room, and his hard-hitting, physical style contrasted well with the speed and grit of the Tradie. 

Match 2: RNR Tag Team Championship- Moses & Otis vs. Hunter PS Hayes & Killa Kye (c) 

Pre-match, Moses and Otis made friends by going off at the fans at ringside, and Otis even slapped young Jayden, who was celebrating his birthday at a Rock N Roll show! 

Ring announcer P.A Trick introduced the challengers and champions with new team names- Motis Enterprises, and The Bald & The Beautiful. Nice way to lean into some of the jabs the Goulburn crowd gave last show. Fortunately, the Goulburn crowd this time were loud and invested without crossing the line of decency, it was genuinely a great time in that regard. 

The formula for tag matches with our champs is very familiar at this point- Kye takes all the heat before Hunter gets the tag. Moses and Otis did a nice job cutting Kye off at different points, and the crowd got more and more behind him. A handspring elbow gives the Killa From The Illa some separation, and Hunter gets moments to shine, hitting the big DDT before Kye hits the Swanton. It doesn’t get the 3 though, as the pin is broken up. 

Late in the match, Hunter takes a hard bump on the apron and goes to brawl on the outside with Otis. While the referee is trying to restore order there, Moses hits Kye with the tag title belt- we've got new champs! 

Winners: Moses & Otis 

Thoughts: Solid tag match, nothing really out of the ordinary, but what is interesting is where Motis Enterprises go from here. Co-holders of the Gold Rush briefcase, and while I feel like we’ve had a few moments of tension between those two, it seems like holding the tag titles will bond them closer together for the time being. Moses & Otis becoming RNR’s answer to the Two Man Power Trip, if you know, you know. They’re both tremendous antagonists with well developed vicious streaks between them. 

Match 3: RNR Heavyweight Championship- Career vs. Title- Morgan Rose vs. Lee Morrow (c) 

These two have worked together a fair amount recently, and the chemistry is well developed by now. Morrow looks to use his size, power and physicality, while Morgan is devious, looking for any shortcut he can. The crowd is willing Morrow on, but Rose is adept at snuffing out their hopes at key moments.

After Morrow almost plants Rose through the mat, the challenger’s minions, The Dogs, come out to get involved. After they successfully distract Morrow and the ref, Morgan uses the steel chain- the same way he’s won many big matches- but Morrow kicks out! Rose has more tricks up his sleeve though, and after knocking over the ref, then raking the eyes to escape another massive power move, Rose hits Morrow with the title belt for the win! The crowd is fuming, but they can't take away the fact that Morgan Rose- flanked by his Dogs- has the gold.

Winner: Morgan Rose 

Thoughts: Morgan saves his career by any means necessary, and is now the top dog at Rock N Roll. Morrow sees his reign come to an end right on a year, and with all the dirty tricks- and The Dogs- at Morgan Rose’s disposal, who knows how long he’ll hold that belt. Strong back and forth that the crowd was into. Interesting that we had two title changes, two matches in a row with a belt shot to the face. I guess the new champs were just kind enough to give the former champs one last taste of the gold? 

Intermission. I talked to Hunter Hayes, he was worried about his pec after his match-ending brawl with Otis. He believes he’s tweaked it rather than done anything major, so fingers crossed there. This place doesn’t run without him! 

Main Event: The Rock N Rumble 

We’ve got some tech/screen issues that don’t let up, as we’re preemptively spoiled on #1 being Cash Train. Previously, a big time heel, but Goulburn loves him- I believe he’s from the Southern Highlands, or at least billed to be- so he’s a big babyface tonight. He starts with Otis, soon followed by Moses, and Motis Enterprises are fully operational here! Cash Train soon gets dumped out to boos. That's not Cash.

Zesty Zane enters to a strong response, and he manages to help break up some of the Motis domination. Killa Kye, looking for revenge from earlier, achieves similar. We also get a healthy dose of SLAM wrestlers, with the likes of Randy Chambers, Luke Watts and Slammoo joining proceedings! Chambers removes any soul Maxx Damage may have had in his body with a Buckshot Lariat. Dan Archer also comes back and does some amateur chiropractor work, adjusting Tradie’s spine with a Tombstone on the stage! 

Some nice surprises, perhaps the most impactful being the return of The Bachelor from a big back injury a year ago. It was rough- I saw him getting around at last year’s Goulburn/Campbelltown tour and was only half-joking when I said, “you’re walking worse than me!” So great to see him back at it throwing hands and throwing Moses around. Maxx Damage takes a Pedigree, leaving a ginger spot on the canvas as he spikes into it.

We also got the RNR debut of MJ Eagles! A couple of weeks after her impressive PWA debut at King of the Metro, she was back at it here in another Rumble. Stunners, Eat Defeat, she sent Maxx Damage out, all great stuff. Soon after, her dad, Michael Spencer, came out, and it seems MJ didn’t learn her lesson from last time, as Spencer sends her out again! 

Hunter Hayes comes out, but he's unable to compete after the pec injury from earlier. So he names a replacement- Cash Train. He DID get eliminated, but oh well, Goulburn loves it. He gets thrown out again. Guess that's what you call a cash deposit.

Our final two came down to Otis and Zesty Zane. About as clear a split of crowd support as you’re going to get- big “Zesty Zane” chants, and one strange dude that kept yelling “DON’T TOUCH MY ZANE!” every time he took a move. Otis had the power and the experience, but it was no match for the Zest, as Zane turns a powerbomb into a hurricanrana for the biggest win of his young career! 

Winner: Zesty Zane 

Thoughts: So good to see! Zane’s been working extremely hard- just over a year since his proper debut match, and he’s skyrocketed thanks to his endless work ethic, positivity, and social media efforts. Journey to 100K, baby! Extremely charismatic and talented. 

As I said at the outset, I was doing this from memory and a handful of short clips I took on the night. There’s a middle section of the Rumble I didn’t really touch on in the recap there, since the screen/computer messed up horrifically, and we could all see it happening on the projector screen. They scrambled to press play, and get the right visuals/music, meaning wrestlers came out to no music, countdowns started at odd times, the ring announcer got confused, it was a whole ordeal. A huge black spot on what was otherwise a great Rumble- I found it extremely hard to focus during those major sound/video issues. 

Overall Thoughts 

Otherwise though, an extremely fun time. The SLAM competitors were a fantastic addition to the night, the more they can be involved, the deeper the RNR roster becomes. The title changes are obviously very newsworthy, and after a year of the Australian Hero on top, what will a heel-led Rock N Roll look like? We did see the Emerald Falcon return as well during the Rumble- maybe he's the hero RNR needs to save the day? Or Slammoo. Any masked hero will do.

It’s a shame the full show wasn’t recorded, as outside of the Rumble tech disaster, it was one of the stronger RNR shows in quite some time. A hot crowd, quality wrestling action, a Rumble loaded with all the things that make a Rumble great. Unfortunately, the tech disaster did drag the experience down a fair amount. Hopefully production is all set for next time! 

Overall Score: 7.5/10 

We return to Goulburn in October with RNR Rage In A Cage, where the steel cage returns after two years away, and I believe it is Zesty Zane cashing in his title opportunity inside the steel with Morgan Rose! Definitely one to watch!
