CM Punk Teases Daniel Bryan's AEW Debut

Today on AEW Dynamite, CM Punk made his debut on All Elite's flagship program. Taking part in a segment where he was interviewed by Tony Schiavone, the electricity from his return to pro wrestling last week was still very much alive in Milwaukee. In fact, the crowd were so loud that Punk had to ask them to quieten down a bit so that Tony could ask his question.

This segment was shorter than Punk's first AEW appearance, but still a sweet one. When asked what one thing brought Punk back to wrestling, Punk cited a few, including Jungle Boy and of course, his All Out opponent, Darby Allin. He said he needed to ask himself a few questions- could he still go? Was he still the Best In The World?

The enthusiastic crowd responded with a "YES!" chant, and Punk seemed to be setting them up for this, as he quickly replied, "That's someone else's schtick, and you're just going to have to be patient." The audience exploded at this. The "YES!" chant in pro wrestling circles is attributed to Daniel Bryan, another free agent who has been rumoured to be debuting in AEW recently. As Daniel Bryan main-evented this year's WrestleMania and ultimately chose not to re-sign with WWE, the arrival of Bryan- or Bryan Danielson as he was known outside of WWE- would be another huge get for the increasingly impressive AEW roster.

Updates on this situation will be posted on The Arena as they come about.
