Anderson Silva Defeats Tito Ortiz Via 1st Round KO (W/ Video)

In the latest in a string of celebrity/crossover boxing events, which have seen the likes of Jake & Logan Paul, Ben Askren & Tyron Woodley try their hand at boxing, a MMA legend has turned back the clock today.

Anderson Silva vs. Tito Ortiz was the co-main event for Triller Fight Club's Evander Holyfield vs. Vitor Belfort today, and it ended in quick and devastation fashion. Anyone who's followed the MMA careers of Silva and Ortiz could tell you that Anderson is the far better striker, but Tito looked to close that gap- literally- with pressure and aggression. The Huntington Beach Bad Boy got Silva in the corner and started teeing off, only for Silva to utilise his trademark head movement to avoid most of the flurry. A quick counter combination back and Tito face-planted, not even making it to the end of the first round.

For Tito Ortiz, an unsuccessful pro boxing debut, although his MMA record sits at 34-11, last defeating Alberto El Patron in December 2019. Anderson Silva improves his pro boxing record to 3-1, last getting a respectable split decision win over former WBC middleweight champion Julio César Chávez Jr in June this year.
