AEW Announce Brackets For AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament

It's becoming an annual tradition in AEW- a tournament to crown a no. 1 contender to the AEW World Championship, currently held by Kenny Omega. Today on Saturday Night Dynamite, they revealed the participants and brackets for the World Title Eliminator Tournament right before the show went off the air:

Thoughts: My gut instinct looking at the field and match-ups is that it's a bit of a disappointment. That was especially compounded when I looked up the brackets for last year's tournament- The Lucha Bros, Jungle Boy, Wardlow and finalists Kenny Omega and Hangman Page were stand-out names. This year, the only two that look like they could credibly win it are Bryan and Moxley. Very small chance of Orange Cassidy making it to the finals for a little swerve.

That's not a slight on the ability of the other wrestlers. Dustin Rhodes, Lance Archer and Eddie Kingston are great, but their position in AEW is very clearly defined at this point. Hobbs and 10 have a great future, but they're not on the verge of breakout yet, still somewhat shackled within Team Taz and Dark Order, respectively.

Bryan vs. Mox will be fun though.
